Carver County, and the rest of Minnesota, must submit their arrest and law enforcement data to the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program. This program was created by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) to have a better understanding of criminal activity nationwide. The following data was extracted from 2019 UCR reports involving Carter County, Minnesota.

  • Law enforcement arrested and charged 50 people with violent crimes
  • It was found that 26 people were arrested with rape
  • That year 6 people were arrested for robbery
  • It was found that 18 people were arrested and charged with aggravated assault
  • The largest statistics by far was for property crimes which was 515

  • 411 people faced charges for a type of larceny
